You can know you have eternal life

I John 5:11-13, And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.

John 20:31, But these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through his name.

John 11:25,26, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; and whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die.

John 3:16,17,18, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Vs 17, For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Vs 18, He that believes on him is not condemned, but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Mark 16:16, But he that believes not shall be damned.

There will be an accounting

1 Corinthians 2:9, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him.

The necessity to express

Jeremiah 20:9, But, if I say I will no longer speak in his name, his word is in my heart like a fire burning, a fire shut up in my bones, I am weary of holding it in, indeed I cannot.

Amos 3:8, The lion has roared, who will not fear? The Sovereign Lord has spoken, who can but prophesy? (Tell forth)

Job 32:18-22, For I am full of words, and the spirit within me compels me; inside I am like bottled-up wine, like new wineskins ready to burst. I must speak and find relief; I must open my lips and reply. I will show partiality to no one, nor will I flatter any man; for If I were skilled in flattery, my God would soon take me away.

We marvel and are awestruck

Amos 4:13, He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to man, he who turns dawn to darkness, and treads the high places of the earth, the Lord God Almighty is his name.

Amos 5:8, He who made the Pleiades and Orion, who turns darkness into dawn and darkens day into night, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the land, the Lord is His name.

Listen to learn

Deuteronomy 32:1-4, Listen O heavens and I will speak; hear O earth, the words of my mouth. Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. I will proclaim the name of the Lord.  Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.

Isaiah 45:6-8, From the rising of the sun to the place of its setting men may know there is none besides me. I am the Lord, and there is no other. I form the light and create disaster; I the Lord, do all these things. You heavens above, rain down righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness grow with it; I the Lord, have created it.

Isaiah 48: 12-13, 16-19, I am the first and I am the last. My own hand laid the foundations of the earth, my right hand spread out the heavens. When I summon them, they all stand up together. Come near me and listen to this, from the first announcement I have not spoken in secret, at the time it happens I am there. I am the Lord your God who teaches you what is best for you and who directs you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river and your righteousness, like the waves of the sea. Your descends would have been like the sand and your children like its numberless grains; their names would never be cut off nor destroyed before me.

FEAR

Psalm 27: 1-2, The Lord is my light and my salvation-whom shall, I fear? The Lord, is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes came upon me to eat up my flesh they stumbled and fell.

When it is clearly declared, in the word of God (and it is) that fear has no place in a believer’s life, there is sound spiritual, psychological and physiological reason for this strong admonition. When fear dominates the life rather than trust or faith in the person of Christ or when there is ignorance or neglect in claiming the abundant promises in the word of God, the individual becomes neutralized and can no longer live a victorious Christian life. There is no advancement on the spiritual battlefield of life and Satan is please to stop us in our tracks.

A believer in Jesus Christ is never to surrender but is to advance and realize that the prize is already won.

To the extent we surrender to our fears, to that same degree we perpetuate the fear. When we perpetuate the fears, we expand our capacity to fear even more. When our capacity to fear is expanded, the power of fear is increased. When the power of fear is increased, we tend to live by fear, when we live by fear we become intimated by life itself. What a pitiful and defeated way of life for believer in Christ to live!

A statement from my Dad from many years ago still rings in my ears… “a quitter never wins and a winner never quits.”

The prize that is already won is eternal life through Jesus Christ; therefore, we are not only conquerors but more than conquerors through HIM that loved us. It is his love for us and not our human love for him… see Romans 8:37, “Nay, in all these things (vs 35, tribulation, distress, persecution peril, etc.) we are MORE than conquerors through HIM that LOVED us.”

Notice it is his love for us that is the compelling force! Aren’t you glad it is not your love for him that compels? Why? Because his love for us is complete and absolutely perfect. Our Love for him is weak, vacillating and far from perfect. Therefore, rest in his abounding and perfect love for divine operating assets that are more than sufficient to enable your forward and effective advancement in Cosmos Diabolicus.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Eph.6:10-11).

To fear is failing to trust. To trust is to stand in his mighty power and not your weak human flesh. I commend you to one of the most assuring and powerful scriptures in the word of God…

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee, yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness (Isaiah 41:10).
