A critical question that must be considered by every person is… How is it possible for anyone to enter into all of the things that are included in eternal salvation? What must YOU do, if anything, to be saved? If you ask this question, it will duplicate the identical question posed by the well-known Philippian Jailer, “Sirs what must I DO to be saved?” Acts 16:30. The infallible word of God gives a simple and direct answer in Acts 16:31, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.”
Salvation is by grace from God and is received through faith by man. Notice the source, it is not from man or by man. It is from God and by God. God gives to man something man needs, but doesn’t possess. Man needs GRACE! Grace is favor to man from God. It is totally without merit from man to God or Grace would not be Grace, it would be God giving to man because of man’s human efforts, actions, or works. If God extended his grace to man because of merit in man, God would be extending his Grace because of some cause or action in man, and this would immediately nullify what God extends to man by Grace.
Please stop, look, and listen to this word from our personal, Grace oriented, and Gift centered God. “For by Grace are you saved through faith; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES: it is the gift of God: NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast” Ephesians 2:8,9.
God’s GRACE is one of the most significant words in the bible. It tells of what God does for man and NOT what man does for God. It may be considered as God’s super surpassing provision by means of his infinite unlimited love on behalf of the individual who, at an appointed time in life, will believe in Him.
Grace is the mercy and righteousness of God to man wherein all the believer is and has, is provided through the Lord Jesus Christ. “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Romans 8:32.
God has impeccable character such as sovereignty, righteousness, justice, love, eternal life, immutability omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence, and veracity. Therefore, God demonstrates his love and grace from his immutable character. Grace is forever and will always be unmerited as any offering from man’s feeble efforts would nullify the entire concept of GRACE.
In reality, man’s demerit is what makes grace possible. Had man not sinned then Jesus Christ could not by the Grace of God have tasted death for every man.
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor: that he by the GRACE OF GOD should taste death for every man. (Hebrews 2:9).
The extension of Grace is not nullified by sin, nor is it limited in any way. But where sin abounded, GRACE did much more abound Romans 5:20. God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us Romans 5:8.
You may be assured grace always extends to man what he does not and cannot earn or deserve. Grace never fails, and always works not by what it finds, but by what it brings.
All that is included in Salvation is accomplished because of, and by means of God’s sovereign GRACE. In sovereign GRACE, God removes all of man’s sins and places them all on Jesus Christ who righteously restores what was totally lost by man’s despicable failure. His so great salvation includes all that God does in conforming saved man into the likeness of his own son and his placement in a state of eternal glory.
This so great salvation includes the past, present, and future work of God for the believer and is one inclusive and continuous act of grace. And the word (God’s Son) was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. And of His fulness have all we (those who believe) received, and grace for or upon grace John 1:14,16.
By the AMAZING GRACE of God Jesus Christ tasted death for all men. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by THE GRACE OF GOD should taste death for every man (Heb. 2:9).
All sins are forgiven according to the riches of God’s GRACE In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace (Eph 1:7).
Unbelievers are justified freely by his GRACE. Being justified freely BY HIS GRACE through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (Romans 3:24). That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might GRACE reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 5:21).
Paul stated by the GRACE of God I am what I am; and his GRACE which was bestowed upon me was not in vain 1 Cor 15:10. God said, my GRACE is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness, Paul responded with … most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me (2 Cor 12:9). By God’s glorious GRACE there is deliverance from the power of Sin in the life of believer. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under law, but under grace (Romans 6:14).
It is by AMAZING GRACE that the believer is enabled to maintain a consistent lifestyle and exhibit an acceptable behavior pattern toward the world and fellow believers.
For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward (2 Cor 1:12).
Gifts for the work of the ministry and for the edification of the saints are grace gifts bestowed to his family members (Eph. 4:7,12,13). God is able to make all GRACE abound toward his children so that they have all sufficiency in all things and may abound in every good work (2 Cor 9:8).
Grace is available and quick to help in time of need. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Heb.4:16).
The believers heart becomes prepared and established with grace. Be not carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein (Heb. 13:9).
God has given an everlasting consolation and good hope through GRACE. Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work (2 Thess. 2:16,17).
At the appearing of Jesus Christ, a glorious promise of his amazing GRACE will be fully realized. Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ (1 Pet. 1:13).
All of this GRACE is GRACE upon GRACE by our Savior who was full of GRACE and TRUTH.
And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth John 1:14.
God’s grace includes all that God is free to do for you on the sole basis of what was accomplished by the LORD JESUS CHRIST on the cross of Calvary.
For by GRACE are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the GIFT of GOD and NOT OF WORKS lest any man should boast (Eph. 2:8-9).
Salvation is not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us Titus 3:5.
Neither is there Salvation in any other for there is none other named under heaven given among men whereby, we must be saved Acts 4:12.
What must YOU DO to be saved? Stop, look and listen to him and place all of your faith personally in Jesus Christ and not in yourself or anything outside of yourself.
Your responsibility before God is to BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ (that’s your part) and YOU WILL BE SAVED! Acts 16:31 (that’s God’s part).
I suggest you find a quiet and serene place somewhere, someway, somehow, and in the quietness of your own soul, place absolutely all of your dependence, faith and trust in the person of Jesus Christ who hears and will save your eternal soul.
For whosoever (that’s you) shall call upon the name of the Lord Shall be saved Romans 10:13.
He hears you and will never let you down, call unto me and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which you know not Jeremiah 33:3. He hears you and will never let you down, call unto me and I will answer thee and show thee great and mighty things which you know not Jeremiah 33:3.remove paragraph markers.
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that though this man is precached unto you the forgiveness of sins; and by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses Acts 13:38-39.
Behold now is the accepted time; behold today is the day of salvation 2 Corinthians 6:2.
